Bookstore Business - Make a Killing Dropshipping Books

May 26th 2009

When you become a dropshipping retailer, your business model copies the buying and selling technique where you supply items at a retail rate that you get wholesale from a supplier. This is one of the very profitable businesses on the Internet today, with $400 billion made annually in the United States alone.

Dropshipping retailers can open their own online stores at a very minimal start-up cost, and their wholesale suppliers take care of the inventory, packing and shipping of merchandise to their customers. Many dropshipping retailers are opening their own bookstore business through online stores in the Internet today. With the present economy, people who love books prefer to purchase their reading matter at more inexpensive rates, and they can find these rates in online bookstores.

If you are a savvy entrepreneur, you can open your own bookstore business and ride the wave of the dropshipping popularity that is growing by leaps and bounds year after year. Many thriving dropshipping retailers are currently making a killing with their online businesses, and you can do the same.

Internet Marketing Studies conducted in 2008 have shown that books and magazine sales rose considerably during this period. Based on these same studies, book sales have risen, while sales for tickets to concerts and other live events have gone down. The downslide in the economy has caused many Americans to look for inexpensive options in entertainment, and books and magazines count as a form of entertainment that don’t need to cost an arm and a leg. The resulting growth in this category has sent a lot of entrepreneurs adding booklists to their growing inventory of items in their online store.

As a dropshipping retailer with a bookstore business, you wouldn’t need to rent store space, or clear up a portion of your home to house your merchandise. All you need is a legitimate and reliable wholesale supplier who will provide you with lists of books that you can select from, depending on your target market.

With this list of books in your arsenal, you simply provide good digital images and descriptions of each item in your online store. When a customer places an order, you will be responsible for collecting their payment through any number of payment processors, and sending the order to your wholesale supplier. The supplier will then package the item and ship it to your customer, saving you the hassle and expense of shipping fees.

Taking advantage of this popularity of books and magazines in the market today will have your online bookstore making a huge profit. You will need to do a good deal of research to find a wholesale dropshipper with a good reputation and a wide selection of book titles and magazines. This may take quite a bit of time, as they don’t advertise and aren’t found in the search engines. Once you find a good source however, you’re in business!

Good website design and optimal advertising through banner ads, blog posts, and articles will also steer potential customers your way.

Unheard of 112 Percent eBay Profit With These eBay Product Suppliers

May 25th 2009

Selling on eBay for profit should be fun and profitable, but few eBay sellers offer products that excite bidders enough to result in consistent profits. eBay bidders go wild when they find exactly the product they are looking for. Take for instance, a recent eBay sale to fans of the rock band Kiss. The eBay seller found a supplier offering a Kiss “Destroyer” Bar Stool for a wholesale price of $28.24 and listed it for sale on eBay. After the flurry of eBay bidding ended the final price of the auction was $59.99. On this one sale alone the seller made 112% or a profit of $31.75. The secret to products like one we just discussed? Drop shipping.

Transforming your eBay selling account into a high performing eBay powerhouse offering over one million products takes only a few steps. Drop shippers act as a middleman, linking the seller up to suppliers offering products that eBay bidders will love. After signing up for a free 7 day trial of a drop shipping service, the seller instantly has access to sell any of the brand name products the drop shipping company has in their catalog. Then it is simply a matter of choosing a product and supplier, listing it on eBay and wait for the auction to end. When the product sells for a profit, simply collect the winner’s payment and enter their shipping information in your drop shipping account. The product will soon be on the customer’s doorstep leaving you free to list your next product for sale on eBay.

Dropship Books - Earn a Killing Today

May 24th 2009

If you are wondering what dropshipping is all about, it is a different way of selling products without actually having to carry a whole store-full of items or worrying about making a daily inventory. If you are looking for a good way to earn some money online, and you have a head for wholesale, a dropship books business may just be the thing for you.

As soon as this phenomenal way of selling caught on at the auction site, eBay, thousands of other online entrepreneurs followed suit. In fact, dropshipping is becoming more and more widely used in many countries all over the world. In the United States, dropshipping is a huge and popular industry that earns about $400 billion annually. This is particularly true of many dropship books online stores that have sprouted all over the Internet. Dropshipping books can be a very profitable enterprise, and you can make a killing as long as you are able to do it the right way.

This type of business is the kind you can start at home. It isn’t capital-intensive, and is relatively easy to start if you don’t have the budget to build your own company from the ground up. With a dropshipping book business, you can take charge of your own branding and create a unique niche that you can promote with the help of your partners and suppliers.

Your partners and suppliers will charge you for wholesale rates only, normally 50% off a majority of products. When your customers order single items from you, you may then charge them the retail price, and your suppliers will ship the ordered items directly to your customers. This way your suppliers will be able to move their merchandize faster, and you’ll make a good profit off the difference.

The boom business of dropship books selling on the Internet is also advantageous for your customers. They can purchase books at a relatively cheaper rate compared to actual bookstore prices because dropshipping eliminates the need for a middleman. You relay their orders directly to your supplier, and you only get charged the wholesale price for a single item. The beauty of this business is that you needn’t worry about handling the merchandise yourself. Your primary role is to maintain your online store and take down customer orders.

You can advertise books at a lot of websites, either in Amazon Stores, on eBay, or within your own website. eBay auctions are particularly profitable as an online dropship books business. As with any business, whether online or offline, dropshipping books comes with its own risks. However, as long as you do your homework, and take the time to source out the best suppliers who will provide you with good rates, you’ll be able to make a wholesale killing.

There are many resources on the Internet where you can research on the best ways to start a dropshipping business. You’ll be able to find many tips, hints, and leads on good suppliers and prospective partners. You can also join forums where you can learn from like-minded dropshipping entrepreneurs, as well as volunteer your own experiences and input on the business.

Dropshipping and Online Stores

May 23rd 2009

If you have an online retail store, you have to know everything about dropshipping because of its importance in cyber market. It’s very essential to learn this procedure before you start your online business. A majority of online buyers are concerned about the delivery of products and the security involved. Drop shipping is the major player at this stage. So, it’s ideal to know your online shop’s “better half” before you launch you store website.

This is how drop shipping is done: normally, wholesale companies sell their products through a network of retail agencies; you are a retail agency who has proposed to sell products of a wholesale company. Your store is ready and you market the products to get customers. One you’ve clinched a sale, you receive the customer’s order and transmit it to the supplier. Obtain payment from the customer and send the retail price to supplier while retaining the margin/ profit. In the next step, the wholesale company dispatches the product to the customer and with this, the sale is completed.

All businesses have their pros and cons; operating online stores is not an exception. It’s easy to sell online because of the convenience of buying or selling with just a click of the mouse, simplicity of working and low overhead costs. Your work here is only to promote sales of the product through marketing. You don’t even have to stock up products in a depot or warehouse.

What’s more, you get the product from the seller at retail price and make a profit by selling it to the customer at market price. The trouble here is, when complaints arise, you cannot divert the problem to the supplier even if the case is regarding quality of the product or packaging; you are answerable to the customers. You also wouldn’t have much of a say in matters regarding delivery time, back orders, product exchanges and returns.

So, your primary task before starting your e-business is to check the credibility of these drop shippers in order to conduct business with them. An Internet search should be your most efficient way to get a dealer. Many drop shippers advertise for retailers or associates through their websites. You can search for terms like “dropshipping” “drop shippers” or “reliable drop shippers” in major search sites.

Make a thorough check of the credentials of the dropshipper and ensure the company is genuine before you start dealing with them.

You could also check out online directories of wholesale merchants and dropshippers. This would be a better guarantee to find a genuine dropshipper because all entries listed in directories are likely to be registered companies. Now, you just need to select a company that’s close to your location or whose products you want to retail. Such directories may charge a small fee for the information, but no fess will be charged to deal with the companies.

Just search for the product you plan to retail at other online stores and auction sites like ebay. There are a few wholesale dealers that offer dropshipping services to their retail partners too. Make use of this service if your wholesaler offers it.

Want to start an online dropshipping business but don’t know how to start or where to find reliable dropshippers? It can be costly and time consuming to setup a store from scratch. So, open an online store for free at zubshop.com and have your store up and running in 24 hours.

eBay Selling Tips - How to Make Serious Money on eBay

May 22nd 2009

There are many eBay selling tips on the internet today, as it seems everybody has their own idea of what it takes to have a successful auction.

The truth is that while there is a lot of good info out there, some things are more important than others and will make the biggest difference as to whether or not you are successful. Without further adieu, here is what it takes to have a successful home business on this ever popular site.

Avoid negative feedback

Getting negative feedback will cause people to think twice about buying from you, and very likely could be the death of your business. If you get too much negative feedback than you will have to get a new user ID and start rebuilding your feedback from scratch which can take a long, long time.

The RIGHT way to do an auction

That brings us to one of the most important eBay selling tips-setting up your auctions. How should you format them for best results? First, make sure they are simple and professional; all too many people go for loud and vibrant fonts and colors, and all this does is give it an amateurish appearance.

This isn’t to say you shouldn’t employ good marketing techniques, and I’m all for bold print and strong compelling headlines; just make sure it’s not overdone. Putting your listing in the best category is imperative to your success, and this will affect how much traffic you get.

The title is everything

Most importantly, don’t forget to include your keywords in the title and listing, which this is probably the most critical feature of getting traffic.

eBay estimates that roughly 90% percent of their visitors use the search box as opposed to the category listing when looking for items, so using your keywords in your title will determine if your auction will show up or not and is perhaps more important than all the other eBay selling tips.

Price formats

Of course, the other big issue is price; what how much should you charge for your items? Also, should you do a buy it now auction, a bidding auction, or combine both?

I wish there was one definitive answer, but the only way to know for sure is to test out difference price points and formats; you might have one auction in a bid format, another one with a bid format with a buy it now price, and several auctions with just buy it now prices at different numbers. The only way to know which will work is to test, as it will be different from niche to niche.

Shipping and handling

Make sure to charge the real amounts for shipping and handling. All too many people sell their items for ridiculously cheap prices and have exorbitant fees or shipping, which is where they make all their money. Avoid doing this, as it’s not honest and is a turn off to potential buyers.

However, likewise underselling the shipping costs can actually really eat into your profits. Having the accurate shipping price is important both to maintain your profit levels and also to avoid negative feedback. These are some of the more important eBay selling tips to get your business off the ground.

5 Tips When Selling Your Loved One’s Possessions on eBay

May 22nd 2009

Are your loved one’s possessions taking over your storage space? Are they taking over the house? Here’s how to break the news that the whole lot’s going on eBay - and how to get the best results, or Ebid.net, Amazon.com, Tazbar, Etsy.com, Bonanzle.com, Atomic Mall or any other of the myriad sites that have sprung up in recent years. Here is my list of a few important things to keep in mind.

1 GET HIS PERMISSION!

Okay, maybe it was his idea. In that case you don’t have a problem: only a sudden lack of any free time whatsoever, what with all the photographing, editing photographs, uploading, listing, answering queries… I do hope he’s taking you out for a super great dinner after all this.

Otherwise - maybe you just can’t bear to see his ten-years-unused college hockey gear/collection of magazines for the car he sold five years back/beautifully boxed complete set of Star Wars figurines for one moment longer! (Or you’ve had a little snoop around the net and experienced a sharp intake of breath when you found out what they were worth…) If so, gird up your loins, make sure he’s with the program, and get ready for a marathon listing session.

2 DON’T LET IT SUCK UP YOUR ENTIRE FREE TIME

It is for his benefit, after all. Or perhaps it’s for the both of you, if the plan is to address it to the mortgage or shared debts/pension plan etc. Either way he should be contributing in some way, if not with the aforementioned lavish dinner (and perhaps a flashy new pair of shoes too), then with hard labour. Plump up his ego as you tell him how much you admire his photographic skills - then set him to work.

3 KNOW WHERE TO DRAW THE LINE

And that means both of you. What do I mean? Sometimes in the midst of the giddy excitement of online sales, it’s possible to get over-excited. Especially when you’re having a boom period and the sales are coming thick and fast. Or maybe when they’ve temporarily dried up and you’re feeling a little desperate, short of your regular sales fix.

That’s when you’re at risk of making unwise choices in your next clear-out and sort through in search of fresh inventory meat. When you become ruthless enough to coldly eye, with an appraising turn of mind, your old childhood toys, the signed concert ticket for your all-time favourite band, the silver locket your auntie gave you at graduation - just stop. Back away from the computer keyboard. Put that digital camera down.

Some things have more value than the price they’ll fetch. And some are too unique to replace when you regret the sale later.

4 MANAGE HIS EXPECTATIONS

Before you get down to the nitty-gritty of actually selling off his cherished possessions, maybe you and your loved one need to have a frank talk. Perhaps the talk where you break the news that his cherished Spiderman comics - loved to death during his hyperactive teens and complete with stains you’d rather not enquire about - are just not going to command the same price as immaculate copies. Or that he really should have kept his model cars pristine in their original boxes, not scuffed and with the wheels off, if he wanted them to bring in the coin twenty years later.

Hold his hand. It’s going to be tough.

5 IF HE’S DUMPED YOU FOR A YOUNGER MODEL, ALL BETS ARE OFF

Check out pp. 68-71 from Nick Hornby’s High Fidelity (1) to find out what I’m talking about. Guys, read it too. Then you’ll behave yourselves.

Now you have five top tips to enhance the experience of dumping your guy’s junk onto eBay or wherever. Put them to good use and remember, his junk is, er, still junk in someone else’s house. But it won’t be you tripping over it anymore.

The Top 7 eBay Secrets to Becoming a Successful Seller

May 22nd 2009

To become a successful seller on eBay there are 7 eBay secrets you need to know. These eBay secrets will put you on the road to success as an eBay seller.

eBay Secrets 1: Selling is an art! You must have a product or have created one, you must advertise and market the product to generate demand for it (make the customer really want the product), you must choose the correct price for the product, bearing in mind you must make a profit and you must then make the sale. And here lies one of the eBay secrets …

You want to keep selling to the same customers over and over again which will allow you to establish a customer base as well as a foundation for your eBay business. Getting repeat customers is one of the eBay secrets that will help your sales fly!

eBay Secrets 2: You need to learn the psychology of your buyers to become a great seller! Buying is always based on a want or need because once the basics are covered like shelter, food and clothes, people buy because they want things. An example of this is that you need shampoo to wash your hair but you don’t need a bar of Galaxy chocolate - you simply want one. So when you see the chocolate at the checkout, you feel the urge to have some, so you impulsively buy it! People buy impulsively triggered by their emotions. So one of the next eBay secrets is …

Your eBay product descriptions should include powerful words that are emotional triggers. Use vivid text descriptions, use colour photographs, make the buyer really want your product right now. Tell them that their lives will never be the same if they miss out - they really need to get it now!

eBay Secrets 3: You must do proper research on the items that you plan to sell. Everyone thinks that ‘anything will sell on eBay’ and this is true to some extent, but ‘anything won’t sell on eBay FOR PROFIT!’ So eBay secrets number 3 is…

Don’t take it for granted that you can list anything, sell it and make a profit. Research is vital. It doesn’t make sense to stock products that won’t sell. So researching will help you avoid potentially losing money. Research also gives you a feel for the eBay market place and will help you to decide on your pricing.

eBay Secrets 4: Keywords really matter! One of the biggest eBay secrets and the key to getting many potential bidders to visit your eBay listing is the keywords that you use in your title …

Before you list an item for sale on eBay, it is extremely important to do a search within eBay of the keywords you want to use in your title. This way you will see how many listings come up. If the results are poor, you should try using different keywords. On the other hand if there are lots of listings, you have chosen some good keywords! eBay uses ‘best match’ to decide which listings to show to potential buyers, so if your keywords are not relevant your listing won’t show.

eBay Secrets 5: Provide great customer service. Providing great customer service is very important and is often overlooked by many sellers. eBay secrets number 5 will give you some tips …

Be as accurate and honest in your listing description by providing as many details as possible including any faults or flaws. Indicate whether you offer refunds or guarantees. Answer all inquiries and questions as soon as possible. Dispatch items promptly and in proper packaging.

You will provide customer satisfaction this way and your feedback rating and DSR’s will quickly soar.

eBay secrets 6: Make an ‘About Me’ Page. This is one of the eBay secrets that is so under-utilised it’s criminal! Having an ‘About Me’ page on eBay will let potential buyers get to know you. It’s a free page on the web so use it to promote yourself and your eBay products. It’s not rocket science!

eBay Secrets 7: - Use auctions for bigger profits (mostly!) One of the key eBay secrets to making more money when selling on eBay is to try and cause a bidding war …

It’s simple really, if you get a few people who like the look of your product they will keep outbidding each other and your profit margin will increase. Take advantage of natural human reactions. If a buyer really wants your item he will more than likely get carried away with the bidding adrenalin and pay over the odds for it! It doesn’t matter that he could probably purchase the same item elsewhere for cheaper! It’s the thrill of the chase! Enjoy …

What Can I Sell on eBay to Make Money - Top Ten Answers

May 22nd 2009

Hey! I’m here to give you a great list on what you can sell on to make money. I know you’re interested in starting RIGHT NOW, so I’ll get to it. Here are some tips for ya.

Tip #1: Think about this question really quickly - what are you good at that you could charge for? A service. Writing? If you’re a good writer, you could easy-cheesy sell that service to people online. Are you a programmer? This is a great place to start and often leads to even more ideas.

Tip #2: Sell a domain name that you bought. Sometimes you can buy domain names for $1 to $10, and turn around and sell them for $20, $50, maybe even a few $100. I’ve seen some crazy domain sales go for thousands of dollars (yeah!)

Tip #3: Products that you don’t find very valuable can be valuable to somebody else. Maybe somebody collects a set of books and can’t seem to find one. Go through some of your old books, magazines, comics, anything that could have some sort of value - and do some searches online. You’ll be surprised at how much people will pay for seemingly small things.

Tip #4: Get out those coins! If you’ve ever had a coin, stamp, or any sort of collection, you may be able to reel in some nice income off of . Sometimes this is exactly what you need to sell on to make money. Especially if you’ve had a decent collection of something in the past.

Tip #5: Old products. Maybe you have one of the original keyboards from IBM - just off the top of my head. I don’t know what people would pay for that, but certain people pay a lot for that kind of stuff. Maybe you have an original toy, those can go for crazy amounts too.. which leads me into

Tip #6: Old toys. Collections. The original power rangers can still cost a lot, old Batman and DC Comics figures. Original X-Men and general superheroes can put some extra money in your pocket. Think about anything along those lines

Tip #7: Unused items that still hold value. The cell phones, since we all seem to switch our cell phone every few months. That old laptop that you haven’t picked up. The TV in the guest room that isn’t going to be used. Anything like this can be great on

Tip #8: An old car that isn’t used can find a new owner on Autos.

Tip #9: Movies. Old movies. VHS tapes can still go for a bit if the movie you have isn’t on DVD yet. You can sell them new or used on and Amazon. Definitely take a look at that, everybody has some old movies they wouldn’t mind parting with

Tip #10: The intangibles. Website designs. Business card designs. People pay cold hard cash for that sorta thing, and it’s entirely possible for you to get into it.
